One of the things that came up in my group that's now in Part 3 last week was the worry about what may or may not happen in the future. I imagine you can relate!
Often we feel out of control because we cannot know the future. But we spend a lot of time predicting it.
Many of us spend time worrying about things that haven't even happened yet - often lots of time. With the result that even if there is nothing wrong right now, we feel fearful, sad, and crappy.
What I would like to remind you of is that you are a great problem solver!
When you have an actual, right now problem you take steps to solve it. You marshal your immediate resources - your cordless drill, the chips in the cupboard, your dog - and get on it! You ask for help if you can't solve it all yourself. You engage your friends or hire an expert. And you get it done!
You can't do this with future problems that haven't happened yet, but you can have a shitty time waiting for them to arise or coming up with phantom solutions that don't give you any relief because they're not real.
How about just know that problems will arise. And you will deal with them. And help will be there if you need it.
I always say, if you're gonna predict the future, at least make it good.
